As you may know from one of my previous blog entries, I set some goals for myself this year when it comes to gaming. I did pretty well at first… and then about 6 weeks ago, I began having problems with my hand. Talk about frustrating!! This is the first year I have EVER set any type of goals for myself, and now it seems like I will not be able to accomplish those goals for quite some time (especially if I have to end up having surgery!).
I’m still able to do some gaming, but I can only really play games that don’t require lightning quick reflexes or button mashing. I just don’t really have that kind of mobility in my right hand right now, so I have to take it slow.
With all that being said, I’ve decided to revise my gaming goals a little bit, at least temporarily. I think what I’m going to do is once a week, pick a game that is a little more on the relaxing side and play it as much as I can! That way, I’m still getting my gaming fix, and I’m still accomplishing something. I can also continue playing my Animal Crossing games as well! (I know, I’m behind on the holidays again. One of these days I’ll catch up.)
So, this week I’m going to play some Tomodachi Life for the Nintendo 3DS! For those who aren’t familiar with the game, you make “look-alikes” of people you know in real life, or you make them up… and you let them go about their business. You can feed them, clothe them, and change the look of their apartments, but you can’t actually force them to do anything. This leads to some pretty quirky incidents! I have made look-alikes of most of my family members, and it is so bizarre and amusing to see them interact together. Anyway, this game is pretty easy going, so I shouldn’t have a problem playing it. I’m sure I’ll be writing a blog entry about it soon enough! 😉
