Hanami is Coming Soon!

Last night I played a little bit of Doubutsu no Mori, and I was pleasantly surprised to find this post on the bulletin board:

Much as I suspected, Hanami will be celebrated from April 5th- 7th. Hanami translates to “flower viewing” and it is a festival in Japan where people appreciate the beauty of flowers. The most common of these flowers is, of course, the cherry blossoms. As you can see from the screenshots below, the trees in Weezey Village have turned a very spring-like shade of pink to mark the occasion.

I said hello to my villagers, and many of them complained that I haven’t spoken to them in a few weeks. Sorry, guys. Real life gets in the way!

I also ventured into Satoroberi’s house, which I don’t think I’ve done before. I’m not a fan of the color pink at all, but I think her house is absolutely adorable. It suits her sweet personality very well! I think it’s safe to say that she has become one of my favorite villagers in the Animal Crossing universe!

I also met a new villager. Her name is Jane, or Monique in the N.A. version. She seems okay so far. Her house is a little weird, though she does have some neat clothing and cool painting over by her bed!

With Jane moved in, that brings my villager total to 15. That is the maximum number of villagers you could have in Animal Crossing, so I wonder if it’s the same in this game. Guess I’ll find out soon enough!
