One thing you probably know about me by now is the fact that I will give pretty much any game a chance, regardless of genre, critical reception, etc. I don’t shy away from games just because they are targeting a “specific audience,” so I’m always keeping my eyes open for new games to play!
One game I definitely would not have sought out on my own accord is Disney Magical World for the 3DS. I’m not a big Disney fan, despite the fact that I grew up in Orlando with Disney World only about 30 minutes from my house! Nevertheless, about a year and a half ago I was browsing some Animal Crossing forums and someone had mentioned Disney Magical World. They said it was a super fun game with elements similar to Animal Crossing and they liked it even though they weren’t a fan of Disney or Disney characters!

Naturally, this statement piqued my interest, so I looked it up online and decided I wanted to buy the game! It had been out for a little while before I heard of it, so it wasn’t really in too many stores. My husband found it at Gamestop and surprised me with it, which I thought was awesome! I played the hell out of that game- and enjoyed every second of it! It’s a Disney game without being too “Disney”- there are Disney characters in it, yes, but they are all part of a bigger story. You could play this game with no knowledge of Disney characters and simply feel like you are in a strange and wonderful world filled with both human and animal characters alike. There are so many different objectives to complete and so many items to collect, this game will keep you busy for a long time!
After playing it for a little while, I switched off to a different game, which is something I do quite often! 🙂 Last weekend, though, I decided to give Disney Magical World some love once more! The first thing I noticed was that I hadn’t played the game since September 2015, which is pretty lame!
I left off having 45 stickers- so technically I am not even halfway done with the game yet. I l have a long way to go!

The first thing I did was put on a Christmas T-shirt 🙂

I was a little out of practice with the game, so I decided to start playing through all of the episodes I had already beaten in each of the worlds (Cinderella, Winnie the Pooh, Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland, and Pirates of the Caribbean). So far I’ve worked my way through Cinderella and some of Winnie the Pooh. One of the Cinderella episodes pissed me off because it had a really annoying glitch. I defeated some enemies and was trying to pick up this gem:
But every time I got near it, it would disappear! Then I would walk away, and it would come back! Uggh!!!
I’ve also been busy trying to collect as many items as I can, which earned me this sticker:

I also managed to craft a Well Made Rod, which is pretty cool! I had to grind a little bit for the items needed to make it, so it took a little bit of time.
I did earn a couple more stickers, but I didn’t take any screenshots- and I totally thought I did. I guess I was half asleep when I was playing or something! Anyways, I’m really into this game right now, so I’m sure I’ll write more about my adventures 🙂
Oh yeah, I guess I should mention- I really do want Disney Magical World 2, so it would be great if I could finish this one first! 😉 I’ll at least try to complete all the episodes in every world, then focus on collecting the rest of the items I need. We’ll see if I actually do that or if I just end up getting the game and playing them both at the same time! 😉
