Gaming Goals Revised (Again)!

My 2016 Gaming Goals were being achieved quite nicely, thank you very much, until I hurt my hand around the end of February. I was really thrown off track because I could barely do anything, and playing most games was completely out of the question for a little while. Ugh! Nothing like getting a wrench thrown in your plans.

Considering it is now June, my goals are pretty much moot- too much time has gone by! So I’ve decided to recalibrate a bit and revise my goals! Going through my Backloggery, I realize that I have WAY too many games that I have not even attempted to play! I used to always buy a game and immediately try it out, even if I didn’t play it for very long. I don’t exactly do that anymore, and I really should. So here is my idea: I am going to go through my Backloggery, system by system, and give my unplayed games some much needed attention. I’ll devote maybe 2 or 3 days to each game, just to give them some play time and see how much I even like the game in the first place!

Without further ado, the first game up is Pokémon Trading Card Game for the Game Boy Color!

This game originally came out in North America in 2000, but I purchased it many years later at a flea market. As you can see from the picture above, the dumb asses put a nice sticker right on the label that I can’t seem to get off! Anyway. I enjoy Pokémon cards, but only to collect them, not to actually play the game with them! Therefore, I’m not entirely sure how much I’ll like this game, considering it is based directly off the trading card game! I’ll keep an open mind, though, and I’ll be sure to write about my experiences with it!

It feels good to set goals for myself again. I always feel better when I’m working toward something! Hopefully I can stick with this particular set of goals for awhile 😉

30 Day Animal Crossing Challenge, Day 30!

Day 30: Your last neighbor to move in or out

Since I play several different Animal Crossing games, I’ll just answer this question based on my town in Doubutsu no Mori, which is the last game I played! The last villager to move in was Jane about a month or so ago. I’m surprised no one has moved in or out since then, but I’m not really complaining. I enjoy having all my villagers around!

Well, there you have it! My 30 Day Animal Crossing Challenge is complete! It was a lot of fun to do, and it was fun having a different question every day. Thanks for reading! 🙂

30 Day Animal Crossing Challenge, Day 29!

Day 29: Your favorite neighbor personality

Well, I like all of them! I appreciate the fact that different personality types are incorporated into the game- it definitely provides great entertainment! Just like with people in real life, it would get pretty boring if everyone was exactly the same. So I love every personality type! 🙂

Wow, I can’t believe the month is almost over already! There is only one question left in the Animal Crossing Challenge (guess I should’ve done this on a month that only had 30 days, haha!). I won’t post tomorrow since it’s my husband’s birthday, but I’ll be back with the last post on Tuesday. See ya then!

30 Day Animal Crossing Challenge, Day 28!

Day 28: Your favorite lazy neighbor

I actually have several favorite lazy villagers, because it is too hard to pick one! My first pick is Cube, just because he is so adorable! He is also a bit absent minded, which only adds to his cuteness!

My second pick is Jeremiah. He has been in my town for quite some time and I love him. He has a habit of falling asleep outside his house, which is always funny!

My third pick is Lucky. I love how he looks like a mummy!

And of course, my absolute favorite lazy villager…

Stitches! I know he’s been my answer for a couple different questions, but I love him so much! He is so cute and funny! <3<3

30 Day Animal Crossing Challenge, Day 27!

Day 27: Your favorite jock neighbor

I’m going to have to show some love to Axel on this one! He’s really cute, plus he has been in my Animal Crossing town for almost 14 years! That is not a typo. I purchased Animal Crossing for the GameCube the day it came out in North America in 2002, and Axel moved into my town only 3 months after I began. I’ll be so sad if he ever moves!!

30 Day Animal Crossing Challenge, Day 24!

Day 24: The NPC you see the most

I would say it would have to be a tie between Tom Nook, Timmy, Tommy, or Reese, depending on the version of Animal Crossing I am playing! The reason is simple: I’m always trying to make Bells! 😉 Tom Nook is a bit chincy, but I love when Reese (she’s in New Leaf only, by the way) pays a premium price for certain items every day! It’s a great way to make a ton of extra Bells!

30 Day Animal Crossing Challenge, Day 23!

Day 23: Your least favorite NPC

Pssh, this one is easy! My answer is annoying ass Mr. Resetti! He is always such a jerk. It’s funny the first time he pops up, but it gets old very, very quickly. Especially when he makes you type shit that he says to “apologize” to him! Sometimes you have to type several things, and uggh… it just gets on my nerves. Thank goodness in New Leaf his Surveillance Center is a Public Work Project that you have to approve and pay for- I’ll never build it in my town!

P.S. Okay, maybe I’m being a little harsh. He’s annoying, but I still don’t hate him. I may build his Surveillance Center if the mood strikes me 😉

30 Day Animal Crossing Challenge, Day 22!

Day 22: A neighbor you wish didn’t move

Aww… the very first villager that comes to mind is Gladys! She was in my Wild World town for quite a long time. She was always so sweet to me, gave me presents, talked to me about how we were such great friends, etc. I know all villagers are programmed to be a certain way, but she was always so nice! I was surprised to visit her house one day and see that she was all packed up and ready to move! I tried to talk her out of it, but I guess it was too late. Bye bye, Gladys 😦
