Pokémon GO Progress: September 2017!

September wasn’t the most fruitful month in Pokémon GO for me- I guess maybe I just didn’t play as much? I still made a little bit of progress, so here it is!

First of all, I didn’t catch ANY new Pokémon! Boo! I still have many Gen 1 and Gen 2 Pokémon to collect, but they are all ones I either am working on evolving or they are ones that just do not ever pop up for me. I think I’m ready for Gen 3 to be released into the wild!

I did evolve a few Pokémon this month, though. I evolved Slowpoke into Slowbro…

Wooper into Quagsire…

Skiploom into Jumpluff…

Nidorino into Nidoking…

and Nidorina into Nidoqueen!

I hatched one egg this month, which contained a Hoppip.

As far as Raids go, I participated in three of them against Exeggutor, Magikarp, and Bayleef. I did all of these raids with Michael, and in the case of Exeggutor, we got some help from a random person as well!

I participated in 3 Gym Battles this month. I took down one blue gym and two yellow gyms, one with Michael’s help 🙂 The blue gym I took down was strange because it was full of almost nothing but baby Pokemon, so I almost felt bad taking it down. Almost.

I also put both Espeon and Snorlax in friendly gyms so they would earn me some coins!

I earned 4 medals this month, which is pretty cool. They were: Feed 100 berries in Gyms, Register 100 Kanto region Pokémon, Win 10 Raids, and Catch 200 grass-type Pokémon.

I caught a glimpse of Raikou, but I had no chance of taking him down.

Lastly, I went through several buddies this month, including Skiploom…

and Polliwag! I decided to make Polliwag my buddy because I really want him to evolve into a Politoed 🙂

That’s it for my adventures in Pokémon GO during September! See ya!

Pokémon GO Progress: August 2017!

Well, this weekend was much better than last weekend! I’m over my cold, which is great… I was feeling pretty crappy for a couple of days! Also, Hurricane Irma really sucked! It was supposed to turn, but it ended up making a beeline straight for us. For nearly 24 hours, we were constantly getting battered by wind and rain… the worst of the weather was from 7 p.m. Sunday night to about 4 a.m. Monday morning. I’ve been through hurricanes and tropical storms before, but this was definitely the scariest storm I’ve ever been in! We ended up with a bit of damage to our house… tons of shingles ripped off the roof, some water damage inside, the fence is ruined… but I’m just grateful we made it through! I’ve definitely had my fill of severe weather for a long time, that’s for sure!

Anyways, August was a pretty busy month as far as Pokémon GO is concerned! I caught the following Pokémon:

Snubbull…(don’t know where the pic went of me catching him?)

Venusaur… (with some really shitty CP)

Shiny Magikarp OMG! I know it’s not like the Shiny Magikarp is better than a regular one, I just think it’s cool that I caught one 😉

and finally, Machop.

I also evolved several Pokémon this month. I evolved Gloom into Vileplume…

Natu into Xatu…

Krabby into Kingler…

Ledyba into Ledian…

Teddiursa into Ursaring…

Psyduck into Golduck…

Marill into Azumarill…

Rhyhorn into Rhydon…

Sunkern into Sunflora…(with a little help from a Sun Stone)

Clefairy into Clefable…

and Jigglypuff into Wigglytuff!

I hatched several Pokemon this month, including Charmander, Meowth, Rhyhorn…

Remoraid, Elekid (yay!), Chansey (double yay!), and Abra.

I earned several medals, too, which included feed 10 berries at Gyms, win 10 Gym battles, defend Gyms for 10 hours…

catch 50 Psychic-type Pokémon, catch 3 big Magikarp, catch 50 Ground-type Pokémon…

catch 200 Water-type Pokémon, and defend Gyms for 100 hours!

I participated in seven Raid Battles this month. I was with Michael on every occasion, and in one Raid Battle against Magikarp, some other random person joined us! That was kind of funny. We stuck to simple Raid Battles… we fought Quiliva, Magikarp, and Cronocaw twice. We also fought Muk once, but we lost against it.

For the first time ever, I also participated in many Gym Battles! I care more about catching the Pokemon than I do fighting them, but Gym Battles are actually pretty fun. It’s a great way to earn XP and the only way to earn coins, so I figured I’d try them out. All in all, I took down eight Gyms this month, and I usually put Snorlax, Ursaring, or Espeon in to defend them, since they are some of my highest CP Pokemon.

On five occasions, I also put some of my Pokémon in a friendly gym to help defend it!

And even though Michael and I are on different teams, I partially took down a gym for him so that it would be easier for him to take it over. See, even if you’re on opposite teams, you can still work together to try to take down a common enemy! 😉

I rotated through several different buddies this month as well. They included Krabby, Teddiursa, Rhyhorn…

Sunkern, Clefairy, Jigglypuff, and Wooper!

I saw two more Legendaries this month as well: Lugia and Zapdos. Did I even attempt to fight them? Nope!

Since I made so much progress, I reached Level 22, then reached Level 23!

That’s it for my super-productive month in Pokémon GO! See ya next time!

Pokémon GO Progress: July 2017!

July was quite a productive month for me in Pokémon GO! I caught several new critters, participated in my first Gym Raid, and nabbed one Pokémon that has been eluding me for months! 😉 Read on for more details!

First of all, I caught Corsola…

Ash-Hat Pikachu (yay! I love these exclusive little Pikachu!)…

Ditto has been a thorn in my side since it first appeared in the game, and I wasted god knows how many PokéBalls trying to catch his ass. For those who aren’t familiar with Ditto, it doesn’t appear exactly like itself. Rather, it takes the form of another Pokémon, and only after you catch the Pokémon will Ditto reveal itself. It’s a lot of trial and error!

One day my husband casually opened up the game while we were at home and caught a Sentret, which turned out to be Ditto! He yelled at me to hurry up and open my game, and luckily the elusive little creature appeared for me as well! No more wasting my PokéBalls on a million Rattatas and Pidgeys!

Besides my new catches, I had two evolutions this month. I evolved my Drowzee into a Hypno…

and my Hoppip into a Skiploom.

I hatched one egg this month, which contained a Tentacool.

While on vacation, my husband and I were at a park that had several PokéStops and Gyms. One of the Gyms had a Raid Boss active, and it only had a little over 5000 CP, so I told my husband we should go for it!

It was the first Raid Battle for both of us, and it was pretty fun!

In the end, we took down Quilava! I caught it, but it got away from my husband. 😦 He wasn’t too happy about that!

I also earned three medals this month: one for collecting 200 poison-type Pokémon, one for collecting 200 normal-type Pokémon, and one for collecting 10 electric-type Pokémon!

I caught a glimpse of Articuno at a Gym, which was pretty awesome! I knew I had no chance of taking it down without a lot of help, which was kind of a bummer, but it was still neat to see it!

Lastly, since I finally evolved my Drowzee into Hypno, I now I have a new buddy: Gloom!

That’s about it for my Pokémon GO progress for July! See ya!

Pokémon GO Progress: June 2017!

Before I write my First Impressions post for a game I recently started playing, and before I start my Kirby game-playing extravaganza (ha), I wanted to do a post about the progress I made during the month of June in Pokémon GO! So what if it’s already almost midway through July?!

Anywho, I caught several new critters! They are Slugma…

Houndour (he’s pretty badass!)…

Charmander (finally!)…

Bayleef (sorry, didn’t snap a pic when I captured it)…

and Phanpy (so adorable!).

I also evolved my Geodude into a Graveler…

my Spinarak into an Ariados…

and finally, my Evee into an Espeon. I now have all of the evolutions of Evee!!

I also earned two medals: one for registering 30 Johto Pokémon, and one for catching 10 Fire-type Pokémon.

I also leveled up to 21!

So, more good progress in June! I’ve already caught a couple new critters this month, but you’ll have to wait for my July post to see which ones! 😉

Pokémon GO Progress!

I still like to play Pokémon GO for a few minutes sometimes when I’m out and about, and I’ve caught a few new critters since the last time I posted an update about the game! I’ve caught a Dunsparce…

a Doduo (yay!)…

a Sudowoodo…

an Aipom…

and my favorite catch of all…

Yes! I caught Snorlax! She (yes, mine is a girl, which seems odd) literally just popped up out of nowhere one day and I was shocked! I’m so happy I have a Snorlax 🙂

Besides that, I am at Level 20…

And I’ve earned two medals. One is for catching 500 Pokémon, and one is for catching 10 Rock-type Pokémon.

Not bad for someone who just plays casually! 🙂 I still want to “Catch ’em All” but Snorlax was pretty much at the top of my wanted list, so I’m pretty thrilled about that! Now if only I could catch a damn Ditto…

Four in February (in March) Progress, Week 3!

Well… damn. This week wasn’t very productive either!

One Game I’ve Been Playing Anyway: Super Mario Run!

I continued playing Super Mario Run a little bit this week, and I had enough Toads to unlock a Rainbow Bridge, which expanded my kingdom!

I haven’t put anything there yet (though I did get rid of the Thwomps) but I plan on decorating that area soon!

I was also really excited about the update which gives you the opportunity to unlock several different color Yoshis! I was not, however, impressed with the criteria for unlocking the Red Yoshi:

9999 total Toads and 1000 Yellow Toads?! Are they nuts? It’ll take me forever to get to that point!

Anyway, I’ve collected all pink coins up to World 2-1. It’s a bit of a grind to collect coins, but I’m not sick of it yet, so that’s a good thing.

One Game I Should Have Definitely Beaten By Now- Pokémon Blue!

Nothing to see here, carry on…

One Game I’ve Had Forever And Haven’t Touched- Harvest Moon: Animal Parade!

Yes! I did start playing this game! Go me! I’m gonna do a First Impressions post for it eventually, but here’s the title screen:

It is a really cute game and I love it so far! I’m currently on Year 1, Spring, Day 3.

One Game Together: ZombiU!

Sadly, no progress made here.

Bonus Game: Pokémon GO!

Friday night we finally went into an area where there are several Pokéstops, so I was able to replenish my stock of Pokéballs! I caught a couple new Pokémon, including Yanma…

and Seel!

What a bunch of cuties! I then evolved one of my Evees into Umbreon!

I also reached Level 19.

That’s it for my gameplay this week! I’m heading into the final week for my Four in February (in March) challenge, so let’s see if I can make more progress!

Four in February (in March) Progress, Week 2!

Well, I sucked even more this week than I did last week.

One Game I’ve Been Playing Anyway: Super Mario Run!

The only game I made progress on this week was Super Mario Run, and I actually beat the game! That’s an accomplishment, at least! I played through a couple tricky World 6 levels, including a damn ghost house that I don’t know how I got through on my first try! I also played a pain in the ass airship level that killed me a couple times.

Finally, it was time to take on Bowser! He was actually really fun to play. It took me a few moments to figure out what I was supposed to do, which was have Mario automatically jump over Bob-ombs, which in turn flings them into Bowser. The challenge here comes from the fact that the screen is, of course, always moving, there are tons of platforms to jump on/ jump down from, and there is fire everywhere. After a few hits, Bowser was toast, and Princess Peach was saved!

Also, since I beat the game, I unlocked Princess Peach as a playable character.

Now, my goal is to collect all the special coins in each level, as well as unlock the rest of the characters. I hate how you have to get Toads from Toad Rally to do that, though. Toad Rally can be a pain! I only need 11 more Yellow Toads to unlock Yoshi, so I’m hoping that’ll happen soon! As of right now, I’ve collected all the pink coins up to World 1-3.

One Game I Should Have Definitely Beaten By Now- Pokémon Blue!

Nope. I did, however, charge up my GBA, so maybe I’ll get some playtime in next week?

One Game I’ve Had Forever And Haven’t Touched- Harvest Moon: Animal Parade!

One Game Together- ZombiU!

Bonus Game- Pokémon GO

Since I ran out of PokéBalls and am too lazy to get more, I didn’t make much progress in Pokémon GO this week. I did, however, evolve my Goldeen into a Seaking…

Since I didn’t need Goldeen to be my buddy anymore, it was time to choose a new buddy! I almost have enough candies to be able to evolve Drowzee, so he is now my buddy!

That’s it for this week. I really had hoped to make more progress, but as always, real life gets in my way. At least I got one game beaten, so even if I don’t beat the other 3, this challenge won’t be a total bust! 😉

Four in February (in March) Progress, Week 1!

I’ve decided to forgo my normal “Gaming Week in Review” posts in favor of writing about my progress in the Four in February (in March) challenge! How did I do my first week? Pretty shitty, it turns out! Look at me, I’m not even writing this post until halfway through the second week! Haha, I am not very good at meeting deadlines… anyway, here’s my progress for each game!

One Game I’ve Been Playing Anyway- Super Mario Run!

I actually did make pretty decent progress in Super Mario Run this week. I kicked ass so hard in Toad Rally, the person I was up against didn’t have any Toads left!

I leveled up my kingdom to Level 5!

Here’s a few screenshots from my gameplay this week.

At the end of last week, I was on World 5-4 Rings of Fire! I’ve since passed that level, but that will have to be discussed in the Week 2 post! 😉

One Game I Should Have Definitely Beaten By Now- Pokémon Blue!

Nope, haven’t touched it. I keep meaning to charge up my Game Boy Advance SP so I can make some progress, but it just hasn’t happened yet.

One Game I’ve Had Forever and Haven’t Touched- Harvest Moon: Animal Parade!

Still haven’t touched it.

One Game Together- ZombiU!

Michael and I have made progress in ZombiU! I’m not quite sure how far we are- I haven’t read about it or watched any videos so I don’t spoil anything. We are having fun trying to get the hell out of London!

This game is not easy. The controls are a little odd to get used to, you have limited ammo, and once you die, your character is forever dead! Luckily, there are many potential characters to play as, so once you kill one off, another one is immediately ready to play where you left off.

This zombie’s face cracks me up!

One thing that annoys me a little bit about this game is the fact that I often feel like I am running fool’s errands- go fetch this, go sneak into this building, no wait go back into the first building, hang on, now I need a random fucking book- I feel like this “Prepper” guy along with the doctor in the Buckingham Palace are just trying to get us killed!

The game is also a little glitchy. We died at one point because a room was completely empty so we walked through it, then turned to walk back out only to find that there were at least 7 zombies in there! Another time, we got completely stuck to a wall and couldn’t turn around.

Despite my complaints, I am still really having fun with this game! I’m interested to see where it all ends. Currently, our mission is to Raid the Military Armory.

Bonus Game- Pokémon GO!

I mostly always play a little Pokémon GO during the week, so why not add that to my little weekly review? I’m pretty low on PokéBalls, so I couldn’t play very much. However, I still managed to catch a Marill…

a Swinub…

a Chikorita…

and a Wartortle!

Well, I kind of sucked at playing my chosen games this week. Hopefully Week 2 will be a little more successful! 🙂

My Gaming Week in Review (2/26- 3/04)!

Nintendo Wii

I popped in to say hello to my villagers in my Animal Crossing: City Folk town of Spookie this week. The snow has melted, and spring is here!

So much green! I love all seasons in Animal Crossing.

I was getting ready to say hello to everyone when I realized I had a letter in my mailbox from Queenie that I apparently already opened. I didn’t remember getting a letter from her, so I read it (again).

HAHA YES! BYE BITCH! I don’t know how I forgot she moved away from my town, but I am very happy anyway!

Prince let me know that I had been gone for 8 months. Sorry buddy! Real life really gets in the way of my gaming life sometimes.

Angus was all packed up and ready to move out, but I never got an option to be able to change his mind no matter how many times I talked to him! Bummer. He’s kinda cool.

I went into Nan’s house and was fascinated by the fact that she had a dung beetle as a pet. It was rolling poo round and round. Who wants a pet like that?

Bella came up with a new nickname for me. I’ll take it, I guess…

Nintendo Wii U

As I mentioned in my Four in February… in March! post, Michael and I recently started playing ZombiU together! It’s a really fun game that makes you think about the actions you are taking- you can’t just run in, guns blazing, and kill all the zombies. I will write more details about our progress when I do an update on my challenge later this week, but for now, here’s the box art for ZombiU!

No Handheld Gaming this week!

But OF COURSE I played more Pokémon GO this week! I caught a Wobbuffet…

a Murkrow…

a Ledyba…

a Wooper (who is SO CUTE)…

a Remoraid…

and a Party Hat Pikachu! Yay! He just randomly popped up in my house. I don’t know why, but I really love the special edition Pikachus 😉

I also played Super Mario Run. Obviously I haven’t written a First Impressions post of it. By the time I do, it’ll be more of a review, because I’ll be done with the game! Anyway, here’s the level I left off on:

No PC gaming this week!

No Misc. gaming this week!

So yeah, not a lot of time for gaming this week at all. I spent a few hours on ZombiU, but other than that, my game time was limited. That sucks!

My Gaming Week in Review (2/18- 2/25)!

No console gaming this week!

Nintendo 3DS

I peeked in on my little Look-Alikes in Tomodachi Life this week. It was late at night, so a lot of them were sleeping when I visited. Anyway, Ryu and Leilah became friends…

Carol loved her new reggae hat that I gave her…

Someone had a freaky dream about worshiping soft serve ice cream…

and I solved 700 Mii Problems!

So, I decided to try out Fire Emblem Heroes this week. The graphics are really nice!

I tried out a few of the levels, but… I just can’t seem to get into it!

The game isn’t too hard to figure out, and the story isn’t bad. I just feel like there are a ton of characters I know nothing about, since I haven’t played any of the previous Fire Emblem games.

I did use orbs to summon a few heroes, but I should’ve waited until I had a couple more, since I only had enough to summon 4 of them! Oops.

Anyway, it really is a bummer, because I WANT to like this game so bad. Nothing about it really grabs my attention and makes me want to play it again, though. Plus with all the different characters and different stats, etc. etc., it’s a lot to learn- and I don’t really feel like learning it right now. I’m glad to see so many other people enjoying it though! For now, though, I’ll probably focus my attention elsewhere.

I played a little bit of Pokémon GO this week, and I caught 3 new Pokémon! They were Natu…

Teddiursa (HOW CUTE)…

and Hoppip!

I played through some more Super Mario Run this week. I am loving this game! I still plan on doing a First Impressions post of it sometime this friggin’ year (I’m sooo slow) but this is the level I am currently on:

No PC gaming this week!

No Misc. gaming this week!

So overall, I didn’t have a lot of extra time for gaming this week, which is a real bummer. I need a vacation!
